Randall Keith Orton was born on April 1, 1980, in Knoxville, USA. His dam Ellen Elaine and his father Bob Orton Junior are professional wrestlers and they have a sister named Rebecca and his younger brother named Nate.

Orton showed interest in wrestling from an early age, but his family did not encourage them and considered it a difficult career choice. His father told him that life in the ring meant staying away from the family for a long time.
